How to add users to your company space in Boardly

Important prerequisite

You must have administrator rights to add users to your company space. If you don't have these rights, contact the administrator of your Boardly account.

Access the company global page

  1. From any page in Boardly, locate your profile picture at the top right of the navigation bar.
  2. Click on your profile picture to open the dropdown menu.
  3. In the dropdown menu, click on your company name.Dropdown menu with company name

Important note

If you have set "User Definition" as "Automatic", users will be automatically linked to your company when they first log in if they have the same domain as you. In this case, you don't need to manually add users.

Steps to add users

  1. On the company global page, click on the "Add users to the company" button.Add users button
  2. A modal window will open with an email input field.
  3. Enter an email address in the text field and click "Add Email" to add it to the list.
  4. You can also paste multiple emails from your clipboard by clicking "Click to paste from clipboard".User invitation modal
  5. Ensure that all emails have the same domain as your company.
  6. Click "Send X invitation(s)" to send invitations to all listed users by email. They will be welcomed to your company space with an onboarding.

Consequences of adding users

  • For existing users: They will be immediately attached to your company space.
  • For new email addresses: An account will be pre-created and assigned to your company.
  • New users will already be assigned to the company upon their first login.
  • You will be able to define user roles and permissions after adding them.

Tip

If you add users who don't yet have a Boardly account, remember to inform them that an account has been created for them and provide them with the application link to log in for the first time.

Role management after adding

After adding users:

  • Access the user list in the global company view
  • Click on a user to open their profile view
  • In the profile view, you can define or modify the user's role
  • Make sure to assign appropriate permissions based on each user's responsibilities
